Amorphous and Nanocrystalline High Temperature Magnetic Material for Pwr
We have used transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to observe the morphologies of ferrite nanoparticles synthesized using a radio frequency plasma torch. These nanoparticles were faceted, having cuboctahedral polygonal growth forms with exclusively the {111} and {100} type faces. A model for the critical nucleus shapes and the growth forms of small cuboctahedral particles is proposed consideri...
متن کاملPRESSURE EFFECT ON CURIE TEMPERATURE FOR Co1-xBx AMORPHOUS ALLOYS
Pressure effect on Curie temperature, dTc/dp, for amorphous Col-,B, alloys is estimated indirectly from forced volume magnetostriction even in Tc > Tcry. Results estimated indirectly show smaller values compared with those measured directly, and are consistent with thermal expansion. The value of dTc/dp extrapolated to Co agrees with that for crystalline Co.
متن کاملMAGNETIC PERMEABILITY AFTEREFFECT IN FeNiSiB AMORPHOUS ALLOYS NEAR THE CURIE TEMPERATURE
The temperature dependence of the magnetic aftereffect, ABIB, has been investigated between room temperature and T, in two low-T, FeNiSiB amorphous alloys. ABIB is observed to steadily decrease with T in a region near T,, where the magnetic permeability stays almost constant. The results are analysed in terms of the structural model for the aftereffect. Introduction sive technique [I]. The samp...
متن کاملEffective exchange interaction and Curie temperature in magnetic semiconductors
Based on a previously reported double-resonance mechanism, we present an analytical expression of the effective exchange interaction between impurity moments of transition-metal elements introduced in semiconductors. It is shown that the exchange interaction is enhanced by several orders of magnitude as compared with the ordinary RKKY interaction when the Fermi level and impurity states are clo...
متن کاملBoosting the Curie temperature with correlations in diluted magnetic semiconductors
We present a quantitative theory for the effects of correlated doping on the ferromagnetism of diluted magnetic semiconductors. It predicts that room temperature ferromagnetism should be possible in homogeneous, but correlated, samples of MnxGa1−xAs. The theory predicts lower critical temperatures for MnxGa1−xN.
